Explanation

The body is made up of material with low density

This will not add the total weight of the cooker and make it more portable

The rice pot is made up of material with low specific heat capacity

The increase in temperature is very large when heat is absorbed and decrease the time to cook the rice

The heating element placed at the centre of the rice cooker

Most of the heat generated is used to cook the rice instead waste to the surrounding

The outer layer of the body of the rice cooker is made up of material with low conductivity of heat

The body conduct a little of heat to the surrounding . The warm rice can be kept long

The rice pot closed tightly
To prevent of heat loss through the surrounding through convection

REDUCE THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF A HOUSE
Modification

Explanation

Use linear fluorescent tubes and energy –efficient compact fluorescent light bulb(CFLs)


Fluorescent lamps are more efficient which last longer

Install a water heater

renewable sourse is used and can last longer

Insulate either wall floor or under the roof

Adding insulation creates more uniform temperature and increase comfort


install white windows shades,drapes (langsir)or  blinds


To  reflect heat away from house
Clean electrical appliances such as air-conditioner or fan
Prevent dirt and debris from clogging the fins and hence reduce the efficiency
